Litematica Guide
Everything you need to know to install and use Litematica in Minecraft
Litematica is a Minecraft mod that allows you to visualize blueprints and schematics (litematics) directly in your world. It is perfect for copying builds, planning your projects, and creating complex structures in both Survival and Creative modes. .litematic files contain all block information, including position, type, and data, allowing you to recreate builds exactly as they were designed.
Step-by-Step Installation
Install Fabric Loader
Litematica requires Fabric Loader to work. If you use Minecraft 1.20.5+, you will need Java 21.
- Download Fabric Loader from fabricmc.net
- Run the installer and select your Minecraft version
- Click "Install" and wait for it to finish
Install the Mods
Place the .jar files in the Minecraft mods folder.
- Open the Minecraft Launcher
- In your Fabric installation, click the folder icon
- Navigate to the "mods" folder (create it if it doesn't exist)
- Drag both .jar files (Malilib and Litematica) into the folder
Launch Minecraft
Start the game with your Fabric profile.
- Close and reopen the Minecraft Launcher
- Select your Fabric profile from the dropdown menu
- Click "Play"
- Verify that Litematica is installed by pressing M
How to Use Litematica
Load a Schematic
- Download a .litematic file (from PhantomMarket or another source)
- Place it in
.minecraft/schematics/ - In-game, press M to open the menu
- Select "Load Schematic" and choose your file
- The litematic will appear in your world as a transparent projection
Build with the Schematic
- Use the tool to position the litematic
- Enable "Easy Place" to place blocks automatically
- Correct blocks are highlighted in green, incorrect ones in red
- Press M + C to configure options

Useful Tips
Use Spectator Mode
In Creative, use spectator mode to see inside large structures and ensure you don't miss any blocks.
Organize Your Materials
Before building in Survival, use PhantomHelper to see what materials you need and organize them in chests.
Customize Colors
In the settings, you can change the projection colors to make it look better in different biomes.
Use Easy Place
Easy Place mode helps you place blocks automatically in the correct position, saving you a lot of time.
