100% Automatic Bone Meal Farm
Modular
Survival Mid/Late-Game
A fully automatic bone meal farm designed for long AFK sessions, with a massive storage capacity and virtually no manual intervention required once it has been set up.
Features
-
10 production modules, each equipped with 8 hoppers dedicated to automatically refilling the farm.
-
4 Crafters connected to 16 double chests for bone block storage.
- Capacity: 60,416 bone blocks
- Equivalent to 543,744 bone meal
-
Main bone meal storage consisting of 33 double chests.
- Capacity: 124,608 bone meal
-
Nether portal, prepared for a chunk loader if you need to keep the farm loaded while you are away.
-
Small manual barrel storage on top of the farm for additional storage when needed.
-
Total storage capacity: 668,352 bone meal.
How It Works
The farm is extremely simple to operate.
Turn it on by punching the note block located in the center, then stay AFK for as long as you want.
The farm is designed to store approximately 30 hours of continuous production before the storage system is completely full.
Each module contains 8 hoppers connected to composters, which automatically refill the production system.
When you download the schematic, the dispensers may be empty. You only need to fill them with bone meal once.
After that initial refill, the automatic feedback system will continuously keep the dispensers supplied, meaning you will never need to manually refill them again as long as the farm has enough production.
Important Notes
- The farm may cause a slight FPS drop due to the number of entities involved in the system.
- Make sure all repeaters are set to the correct delay.
- Place 8 armor stands at each Crafter station.
- The chunk loader is required if you want to leave the farm running while you are away. If the chunks unload while the farm is running, the farm may break.
- If you are going to AFK at the farm and turn it off before leaving, you do not need a chunk loader.
- Use Nether wood fence gates in the appropriate areas to prevent lava from burning them.
Design & Credits
The design is inspired by a farm I built in my own survival world several years ago.
I originally tried to create a version that did not require water, but the randomness of moss growth made the system unreliable. Because of this, this version follows a design similar to the typical moss farms commonly used by the community.
However, a large part of the system was designed and developed by me, including:
- The modular design.
- The dispenser system.
- The automatic feedback system.
- The storage system.
- The Crafter station layout.
- The overall decoration and structure.
The only major components that are not my own design are:
- The stone generator.
- The basic structure of the growth platforms.
Everything else, including the integration, automation, storage, and overall design of the farm, was developed specifically for this project.
