How It Works

Before starting the breeder for the first time, hit the note block labeled "Manual Feeding". This will dispense one full stack of carrots to each breeder villager, allowing them to begin breeding.

Once a baby villager is born, it falls into a water stream where a tripwire activates the automatic feeding system. From that point onward, the breeders will continue receiving food automatically whenever they are ready to breed again, requiring no further player interaction.

The baby villager remains in the holding area until it grows into an adult. Once its hitbox is large enough, it is pushed into a second water stream that carries it to the villager storage area.

When the storage reaches 15 villagers, the breeder automatically shuts down. If another baby villager is produced before the shutdown completes, it will be routed into lava and removed automatically. This guarantees that the storage always contains exactly 15 villagers.

A status light indicates the current storage level. When the light turns off, it means the storage is full and the breeder has stopped.

A second note block, located on the left side of the machine, dispenses a villager on demand. The villager is unloaded directly above the "Output / Salida" sign so you can easily connect the breeder to your preferred system, such as a trading hall or a mob switch. The minecart is automatically destroyed and recycled back into the machine.

On the roof, you'll find two hoppers labeled in both English and Spanish. These can be connected to an automatic carrot farm so the breeder never needs manual refilling. If you prefer, the manual carrot refill chest is located directly above the breeder villagers.

The minecart refill chest is visible on the right side of the build, allowing you to manually restock minecarts whenever necessary.

Notes

  • Place 30 items in the hopper clock before turning on the machine.
  • Every time you start the breeder, you must hit the Manual Feeding note block first. Otherwise, the villagers won't have enough food to begin the initial breeding cycle. If the storage is empty, the machine will continue running until it reaches 15 villagers, then it will automatically shut down.
  • The bed layout is inspired by a villager breeder designed by Cubicmetre, but approximately 99% of the build is my own design. I wanted to give proper credit for that part of the concept.
